When it comes to Moroccan rugs, we believe that the more the merrier! That is why we enjoy sprucing up every little corner of the house with a rug, big or small. That random corner that appears to be empty? Consider laying down a rug! Stairs that are beyond repair? Cover up the damage with a runner rug. Do you need some extra warmth next to your bed? Add a rug, of course! Below, we'll walk you through all of our favorite overlooked spots to roll out a rug.
Beside the Bed
The bedroom is the ideal location for a rug, and we believe that every foot that steps out of bed should land on a rug. Consider adding a Moroccan rug to run alongside your bed if you have wall-to-wall carpet, a large area rug, or bare floors in your bedroom. This will provide additional warmth and comfort—and who doesn't want that when getting out of bed in the morning? We also like the idea of putting a rug at the foot of the bed, especially when combined with a bench where you might put your shoes.
Under a Desk
What is the one thing that will make working from home more comfortable? A rug beneath your desk! A stylish Moroccan rug is essential for making your office feel chic and like an extension of the rest of your home. If you don't have a dedicated office, an area rug beneath your desk will separate it from the rest of the space and make it feel like a separate area.
In those Unexpected Open Spaces
If you live in a large house, chances are you have at least one of those random, open spaces that you don't know what to do with—areas where you can't put furniture because they will obstruct foot traffic. So, how do you fill in those blanks while keeping them clear? Of course, a Moroccan rug is required! Choose a style and color that complements the surrounding rooms and decor to ensure that it flows well with the rest of the space.
In the Laundry Room
If you're going to be sorting, washing, and folding laundry in the laundry room, it should be a comfortable (and stylish!) place to be. So, whether you have a small closet or a large room (lucky you!), consider adding a Moroccan rug to your space. It'll be ideal for adding a touch of homey style alongside the washing machines.
Below the Kitchen Island
In the kitchen, runner rugs are always a good bet. If a runner isn't quite right for your space, consider rolling out a small rectangular Moroccan rug to fill out the center of your kitchen and bring it in line with the rest of your home's style. If you have a kitchen island (which we think is essential for small kitchens), place it on top of the Berber rug for a finished look.

Inside a Closet or a Cabinet
Do you have a walk-in closet? Consider putting in a runner or a small 3′ x 5′ or 4′ x 6′ rug to dress it up! We think it's the simplest way to update your closet: laying out a Moroccan rug in the closet will add just the right amount of polish, as well as a little extra comfort underfoot.
Adorning the Coffee Table
If you want to add some originality to your living room, we love the idea of layering a small Moroccan rug on top of your existing area rug (or carpet!) to frame and highlight the coffee table. This is such a simple way to give your living room a quick facelift, and it only takes one rug to do it!
Over the Stairs
Moroccan stair runners are a seriously stylish move that can make your home look like it was custom-designed by an interior designer. Fortunately, you don't need a designer or a fancy contractor to pull it off. In fact, it's a completely doable DIY project that you can complete in an afternoon! In an Extra Corner
Is there any sad spare corner in your home? Brighten it up with a Moroccan rug, then add a small setup on top for a functional new look. We like the idea of a small sitting area with a chair and side table, but you could also include a small desk or bookshelf, set up a kids' play area, or create your own indoor garden in the corner.
