Instead, they are first handwoven on traditional looms just like any rectangular rug, using natural wool sourced locally and dyed with either natural or non-toxic synthetic dyes. Once the rug is fully woven and washed, it’s carefully cut into a round shape by skilled artisans who ensure the design still flows harmoniously in its new form. The edges are then bound by hand to maintain durability and a clean finish.
